How do I get my owner-financed payments reported to the credit bureaus?
Your lender is typically the one who reports this information. Seeing how the owner of the house is normally not a bank or a business, he/she typically would not be eligible to report to the credit bureaus. So, your payment history will mostly likely not be shown on your credit report.
The best advice I can give to an individual that has an owner-financed home or has a mortgage with a business that does not report to any credit bureau is to obtain a payment history report or a letter from the owner showing your good payment history. This letter/report may be used in conjunction with a credit report if you are desiring to borrow from a bank. What if there is something on my credit report that is not correct?
When you obtain your credit report through www.annualcreditreport.com you can dispute items that are incorrect.

Make sure your credit report contains only items about you. Look for information that is inaccurate or incomplete, such as accounts that do not belong to you, addresses of places where you did not live, names of employers you did not work for, or information that should no longer be on your credit report, such as a bankruptcy  that is more than ten years old.

If you find errors, you should contact the credit reporting agency from whom you obtained the report, and the creditor or whoever provided the information (called the “furnisher” of the information). The copy of your credit report will include information about how to dispute inaccurate or incomplete information.
